I am an artist and facilitator based in Brighton, UK, working primarily with ceramics. I studied mixed media fine art in London for six years, where I explored a range of materials and worked as an artist assistant, gaining insight into what it means to sustain a creative practice and work as an artist.
As an intuitive and curious person, I am drawn to moments of presence and the quiet details of the natural world. This sense of presence sits at the heart of both my making and my teaching. Living with dyslexia has also shaped how I communicate and research; where words can feel limiting, art has become my primary language for exploration and expression.
My work is intuitive and handbuilt using pinch and coil techniques. My practice centres on sculptural vessels which I describe as bodyscapes, forms that explore femininity, the human body, and our relationship with the natural world, reflecting movement, energy and rhythm. Alongside sculptural works, I also create functional objects glazed with colours and textures inspired by nature.
I teach ceramics workshops alongside my own artistic practice. I believe everyone is inherently creative but many of us haven’t had the guidance or encouragement to explore it. Creativity comes from the core of who we are there’s no right or wrong. In my workshops, I help people reconnect with their inner artist and experience the joy of self-expression through clay.
